Right Worshipful Deputy Grand Master
Kenneth Thompson, Jr.     

     The Right Worshipful Deputy Grand Master is a native of Bossier City, LA, by the way from Beaufort, SC, DGM Kenneth E. Thompson, Jr., was born to the union of Sis. Margie (Elizabeth Chapter #46) and Kenneth E. Thompson, Sr. He is a member of Stonewall Baptist Church, where he serves on the First Aid Ministry Board and The Multi-Cultural Development Center Board of Directors in Bossier City, LA.

     Bro. Thompson is a graduate of The Grambling State University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree.  While in matriculation, he also served four years in the World Famed Tiger Marching Band, where he played percussion. He is also a member of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., where he serves on the National / Local Pan-Hellenic Council as a representative. His time also includes mentorship with the Omega Lamplighters and Jr. Lamplighters mentor group.

     He currently works as an Adult Social Worker/Counselor at a local behavioral health hospital, where for the last 17 years, he has strived to help educate and facilitate the needs and services for the population at risk.  

     While serving as the Deputy Grand Master, Bro. Kenneth Thompson, Jr., also currently serves as the Supreme Prelate for the Supreme Grand Encampment of Knights of Templar, 2nd Vice Patron for the Supreme Daughters of the Sphinx house, the State Eminent Commander of the State of Louisiana Sunshine Commandery #1 Knights of Templar, and Chief Rabban for the State of Louisiana Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of Mystic Shrine. He is also the Immediate Past Supreme Sir Knight Ambassador for Supreme Grand Council and Encampment of Lady Knights.

     He has served in all positions in his local Blue Lodge and currently sits as the Senior Warden for the 2nd time at Doric Lodge #10, and Past Asst Deputy for District #1. He is currently the Eminent Commander for Sunshine Commandery #2 Knights of Templar in Shreveport.  He is the Patron for Elizabeth Chapter #46, Joshua for Cooper Court #36 Heroines of Jericho, Sir Knight Ambassador for Franklin Council #16, 2nd Vice Patron for Winn Court #57, and 2nd Vice Prince of Council for Antioch Temple.

     Bro. Thompson, or Bro. “Kit-Kat” that many know him as, attempts to serve in whatever capacity that is of need with his full support and efforts. In the little leisure time he has, he loves to ride motorcycles, travel. You also will always find him in the gym.

     His love for the Brotherhood and Order is by far his passion and beliefs of following his Christian duty to “help one, love one, and teach one”.
